Custom Linen Blend Floral Curtains, Tailored for a Perfect Fit

Achieving the perfect drape is effortless with curtains made to your exact measurements, ensuring a flawless fit that ready-made options often cannot provide. The peacock floral print offers a captivating focal point, with a sophisticated palette that makes a statement without overwhelming the room. It delivers the polished, professionally curated aesthetic of a designer-finished space, tailored specifically for your home.

Heavyweight Fabric That Drapes Like a Dream

For a truly elegant drape, the weight of the fabric is essential. Our premium linen blend has a generous weight, ensuring the curtains hang perfectly straight and pool gracefully on the floor. This provides a substantial feel when drawn closed—a rich, tactile quality often reserved for high-end custom upholstery.

Custom Floral Blackout Curtains (Or Light Filtering, You Choose)

Whether you're a light sleeper or someone who loves a sun-drenched room, we've got you. By adding our 100% blackout lining during the customization process, you can achieve total darkness—perfect for Saturday sleep-ins or movie rooms. Alternatively, stick with the privacy lining to let a soft glow filter through while keeping your space private.

Farmhouse Floral Curtains That Aren't "Granny" Style

We took inspiration from the warmth of cottage style, reinterpreting it for a timeless yet contemporary home. The peacock motif bridges the gap between classic farmhouse charm and modern sophistication. It adds immediate warmth and character to a neutral room. Plus, the fabric is resilient, fade-resistant, and safely machine washable, so it handles real life (and kids, and pets) without losing its vibrant look.

FAQ

Is the fabric actually heavy? I hate flimsy, see-through curtains.

You are going to love the weight of these. We specifically designed this linen blend to be 'heavyweight' because flimsy curtains just don't hang right. These have a substantial, luxurious hand-feel that drapes beautifully right out of the box. They aren't stiff, but they definitely aren't wispy. Think of it as the perfect balance between the organic texture of linen and the durability of high-performance fabric.

Should I get the Privacy Lining or Blackout Lining?

It depends entirely on the room! If you're putting these in a living room or dining area where you want to filter harsh sunlight but still keep things bright and airy, go with the Privacy Lining. It softens the light and protects your furniture from UV fading.

However, if these are for a bedroom or media room (or if you just love sleeping in), you can achieve total darkness by selecting our 100% Blackout Lining option during the customization process. This specific lining blocks 100% of light, provides total privacy, and adds extra insulation against heat and cold.

Will this floral pattern look dated or like 'grandma' curtains?

Not at all. The Peacock Floral design was created specifically to bridge the gap between vintage charm and modern style. It's sophisticated, not stuffy. We see customers using these as farmhouse floral curtains to add warmth to a neutral room, or in modern apartments to add a bold 'botanical art' statement piece. The pattern is intricate but distinct, making it feel like a curated design choice rather than an old leftover.

Are these difficult to keep clean?

Not at all. We designed these for real life and easy maintenance. Unlike traditional linen that requires professional care, our high-performance linen blend is safe for machine washing. Simply use a gentle cycle with cold water and hang to dry (please avoid tumble drying). For a crisp look, a quick pass with a handheld steamer will remove any remaining wrinkles. They are built to be durable and low-maintenance without losing their luxurious feel.

Why buy custom instead of just grabbing something off the shelf?

Two words: The Fit. Store-bought curtains almost never hit the floor perfectly—they either 'highwater' (too short) or puddle awkwardly (too long). With our floral linen drapes, you specify the exact length so they kiss the floor perfectly. plus, mass-produced curtains rarely have the pattern alignment or hem quality that our artisans put into every single panel. It's the difference between a suit off the rack and one tailored just for you.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

Should I use a track or a rod (especially for tall/heavy drapes)?

There isn’t a "one-size-fits-all" answer—it depends on weight, span, mounting location, and usage frequency. You can find specific load capacity information for reference on TheHues' Track and Rod product pages. For heavy drapes or extra-tall windows, we recommend prioritizing tracks with a load rating that matches your needs.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For these Peacock Linen Blend curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can I change/customize the lining color (e.g., gray to ivory)?

Yes—please contact support before ordering. If a matching lining fabric is available, we can customize the lining color as a special request.

This may involve an additional cost and/or extended lead time. Email support@thehues.com with your product link and desired lining color (ideally with a reference photo).

Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Will swatch fees/shipping be credited or refunded with a full order?

Whether swatch shipping/fees can be credited toward a full order may vary by promotion.

Please email support@thehues.com to confirm the current rule before placing your full order.

I can’t find the swatch option for a specific color/product—what should I do?

Please email support@thehues.com with the product link and color name, and we’ll help confirm the matching swatch (or the closest available option).

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on this curtain’s product page. This curtain listing lets you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
