Will this damage my door frame?

Nope! It installs using a high-quality adhesive hook-and-loop strip (like heavy-duty Velcro). It stays put when you need it to, but can be removed. If you're renting, you can use a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive for clean removal when you move out.

Is it machine washable?

Yes, it is safe for machine washing.

Does it work for keeping heat out in summer?

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For most other curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
Will the door curtain seal the doorway to keep mosquitoes out?
