The Midnight Black one is perfect for what I wanted. It gives a sleek clean appearance and makes it look a little cooler as well. Very easy to install and seems pretty sturdy so far.

I purchased these for our screened deck for some privacy and to reduce glare in the afternoon.? The curtain color is perfectly accurate to the site, which is awesome because they go perfectly with our furniture and pillows.

Material seems to be high quality - the curtains feel soft yet durable, and they hang nicely.? Measurements are accurate as well.? I'm not sure if they're perfectly 'blackout' because I only purchased a pair for one side, however I don't see any light leakage through them!? They're definitely waterproof, though! They were hung and closed when the remnants of Ian passed through - they were hit pretty hard with rain, yet the deck was completely dry inside of them!

They cut out all unwanted glare, do a great job cooling the area from direct sun, and create a comfortable outdoor living space.? I went out today to take a couple photos; it's currently 48 degrees and breezy, and when I closed the curtains I immediately warmed up a bit from blocking the cross-breeze, so they have a nice impact all around.

These are not weighted curtains, so they do blow out a bit with gusts, or cling to the screen when there's back-pressure, however We haven't found it to be a problem.

I can't wait to see how these last. My old ones were ripped from wind, storms. These are thick, smooth, wrinkle-free, and I feel like I stole them they were so affordable! I needed 10 for my porch, and paid about $110 for all. Used some magnetic ties for daytime, and voila. (8 panels pictured).

UPDATE: Today is the 5th month we have installed these outdoor curtains: they are on the outside facing the sun, I have a total of six panels (two panels on each side), which is quite a solid investment, in full sheer Next, I want to share that I still believe these are incredible outdoor curtains. I hung them up (without the straps) all summer during this hot, sunny, triple-digit heat in Texas and they created a complete blackout and were a very effective form of relief. I'm sure we must be living in some kind of wind tunnel, as these drapes have to withstand strong whipping winds (always use ties in high winds!) so I give them high marks for their ability to withstand gusts. Yes. Is it still attractive from a patio perspective? Yes. They do an amazing job of repelling and wicking away moisture. They do an excellent job of keeping out the sun. Are they worth the money considering they are only 5 months old? I'll update again as time goes by.

Original post updated 5 months ago: Outdoor curtain panels are worth the money. They have an amazing ability to repel raindrops, dry quickly, have a beautiful drape, and really block out the sun. I hired a contractor to install the copper pipe for the curtain rod (to maximize support for the curtain panels fluttering in the wind) (and to bring the interior color theme to the exterior for visual aesthetics) and the curtain grommets to slide easily over the metal . If the curtains are tied at the back, they absorb a little rain in the folds, so just shake it a bit, and once the sun comes out, I let the curtains hang down without tying the back, and the curtains dry in about 15 minutes! I wanted a patio where I could draw the shades to keep out the hot sun, I was really amazed at the incredible job they did at blocking out all the light! I purchased the tie recommended by the seller and like it very much. The back of the tie is smooth so it won't scratch the curtain fabric. Sometimes the bugs fly up to the curtains and start to rot, no worries, just wipe off with a paper towel, unbelievably no stains left on the curtains. It's been an excellent investment not only in the house but in myself, so I'm encouraged to sit back, enjoy the fresh air and drink a nice glass of wine... ?

Absolutely. Standard sizes rarely fit perfectly. Since ours are custom-made, you enter your exact width and length for a tailored result. We don't do 'one size fits all' because every outdoor space is unique.

How do I clean them if they get dirty?

Maintenance is simple. These curtains are machine washable (gentle cycle, cold water). For light pollen or dust, a quick shake or spot clean is often all that is needed.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one outdoor curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.

Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

My space has different opening sizes (e.g., sunroom/L-shape). How should I split and place the order?

For complex layouts (sunrooms, L-shapes, multiple openings), measure each opening separately and place separate line items as needed. Start with the Curtain Measurement Guide, then email support@thehues.com with a sketch/photos and each opening’s measurements for a tailored recommendation.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

I have an existing track—what header style should I choose?

If you’re using a track, choose a header that works with gliders/hooks (e.g., Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, Inverted Box Pleat, or Pleat Hook).

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Will the door curtain seal the doorway to keep mosquitoes out?

The website does not guarantee a fully sealed, mosquito-proof doorway. If your goal is to minimize gaps, choose appropriate width/length and a closer-fitting header (such as rod pocket / back tab) and contact support@thehues.com with your doorway setup.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?
