Inside Mount

Outside Mount

Inside Mount: The shade is installed inside the window frame, fitting neatly within the recess for a clean, built-in look.
* Requires sufficient frame depth (7minimum) to install properly
* Measuring must be precise
* Small light gaps on the sides are common

Outside Mount: The shade is mounted outside the window frame, either on the wall or above the frame, covering a larger area.
* Best for maximum light blocking, as it covers beyond the window frame
* Requires more wall space around the window for installation

Inside Mount: Measure the top, middle and bottom portion of the inside frame and use the narrowest width measurement. Our measurement tool will automatically deduct 1/2” to ensure proper usability.

Outside Mount: Measure the top, middle and bottom portion of the inside frame and use the narrowest width measurement. We recommend extending 4-8” on each side to improve coverage and reduce light gaps.

Inside Mount: Measure the left, center and right portion of the inside frame and use the longest height measurement.

Outside Mount: Measure 4-8” from above the window, down to where you want the shade to sit.

What's the difference between Roman shades and woven shades?
Roman shades are fabric-based with soft folds that add elegance and versatility, while woven shades are made from natural materials like bamboo and jute, offering texture and a more organic look.
Can I install Roman or woven shades myself?
Yes! All of our shades come with detailed step-by-step installation guides. We also provide installation videos so you can confidently install them at home.
How do I know if I should choose inside mount or outside mount?
Inside mount offers a clean, built-in appearance but requires at least 3” of frame depth and may allow small side gaps. Outside mount provides maximum light coverage by extending beyond the frame and is ideal when your window depth is limited.
What lining options are available for shades?
You can choose from unlined (maximum light), privacy lining (filters light with moderate privacy), or blackout lining (near-total light block and full privacy).
Can these shades be motorized?
Yes, both Roman and woven shades are available with motorized upgrades. You can control them using either a 1-channel remote for single windows or a 16-channel remote for multiple shades in one space.
