This bathroom is beautiful, but it needs a little warmth, some texture, and a bit of charm. With painted cabinetry, stone floors, and tiled walls, it can feel a bit cold and sterile in here, so this week I’ve been working at bringing in some new layers, starting with this beautiful woven shade from @thehues_home. November brought a lot of small changes that made our home feel even more like us —
including a brand new saltwater aquarium I can’t wait to show you.

Making living rooms and bedrooms feel cozy usually comes naturally. Kitchens and bathrooms, on the other hand, are much harder – because coziness there is almost entirely about textiles.

Classic curtains usually come as two fabric panels hanging left and right. Beautiful, but not always practical – especially in kitchens, where you don’t want fabric getting in the way while cooking.

Living room sneak peek 👀🧡

The goal was to make this space feel like a warm hug at the end of the day! When we moved into this house, everything felt very bright, flat and “new build”. Over time I realised what I was craving was warmth, texture, softness and a home that actually felt lived in.

This living room refresh has had us tearing our hair out at times, what we thought was a two weekend job has actually taken well over two months!!!

I can’t be happier with the outcome from mood-board to finish…the layered lighting, richer tones, touches of character, heavier fabrics, warm wood and all the cosy little details that make you want to stay in here all evening 🕯️✨
