Striped Window Panels That Instantly "Lift" Your Ceilings

A timeless interior design principle, vertical stripes can make any room feel taller and more expansive. These striped window panels create a visual rhythm that draws the eye upward, enhancing the sense of height and dimension in your space.

Whether your style is coastal cool, modern farmhouse, or just "I want my house to look finished," the Liam collection provides the perfect finishing touch. The lines are clean and structured but softened by the fabric texture, so it never looks too busy—just effortlessly tailored.

The Linen Look Without the Ironing Nightmare

We all love the look of pure linen, yet its tendency to wrinkle can be a practical challenge. Our premium linen blend offers an elegant solution. It provides that gorgeous, organic drape and soft movement, ensuring the fabric retains its smooth, graceful appearance with ease.

It’s breathable, lightweight, and significantly stronger than pure linen. Best of all, they are safe for machine washing, giving you the high-end aesthetic you want with the durability real life requires (yes, even with kids and pets).

Custom Striped Linen Curtains That Actually Fit

The elegance of a room is often in the details, like curtains that hang to the perfect length. As most windows are not a standard size, achieving a seamless, floor-grazing drape can be a challenge. We provide the ideal fit, ensuring a polished, custom-tailored look for your space.

You control the exact width and length to get that professional "kiss the floor" or "puddle" look. Plus, you can choose your header style—go for the pinch pleat if you want that custom designer look, or grommets for something more casual. It’s fully made-to-measure, meaning it looks like you hired an interior designer.

Light Filtering or Total Blackout?

A rare fusion of elegant design and versatile light control. Keep them unlined or with a privacy liner for living areas where you want that soft, filtered glow.

But for the bedroom? You can achieve 100% blackout by adding our specialized 100% blackout lining during the customization process. You keep the sophisticated linen aesthetic on the inside, but you get serious light-blocking protection for Saturday morning sleep-ins. It also helps insulate the window, which is a nice bonus for your energy bill.

FAQ

Will these shrink if I wash them?

These curtains are designed to be safe for machine washing. To maintain their tailored look and prevent shrinkage, we recommend using a gentle cycle with cold water and tumble drying on low heat. This makes them much easier to maintain than traditional pure linen drapes.

Can I get these in a custom size not listed?

Yes! Because these are made-to-measure, we can tailor them to your specific window dimensions. This is huge for older homes with quirky windows or high-ceiling new builds where standard 84-inch panels look tiny. Just measure your space and order the fit that's right for you.

Does the blackout lining change the look of the curtain?

Not from the inside! The lining is attached to the back, so you still see the beautiful fabric texture. Please note that to achieve a full 100% blackout effect, you must select the 100% blackout lining option during the customization process. This addition also provides extra weight for a superior drape and maximum light blocking.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For most other curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
Are your curtains flame retardant? Do they meet any standards?

Some products are available in flame-retardant fabric (e.g., the Frisian collection).

If you need documentation/standards for a project, email support@thehues.com with the product link and your requirements before ordering.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on this curtain’s product page. Many curtain listings let you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
