A Made to Measure Door Curtain, Designed for a Perfect Fit

Achieving a seamless fit with a door curtain can be a common challenge. Standard sizes may leave small gaps along the edges, allowing cold drafts and hallway noise to filter into your space. This can undermine the curtain's ability to provide complete insulation and tranquility.

Our door curtain is a true made-to-measure solution, crafted to your exact height and width for a precise and effective seal. Whether you have a unique apartment doorway, a drafty patio entrance, or a non-standard size, it provides complete, seamless coverage. The result is a perfect fit that eliminates drafts and creates a polished, custom look.

Beige quilted custom door curtain, offering thermal insulation & soundproofing, hanging on a white door in a stylish home setting.

Muffle the Noise from Noisy Roommates

Seeking to create a more peaceful and private retreat? While no fabric can completely soundproof a room, our noise-reducing door curtain is expertly designed to absorb and dampen sound, offering a beautiful and effective acoustic solution.

The heavy quilted Oxford fabric absorbs sound waves rather than letting them bounce around. It takes the sharp edge off hallway chatter, street traffic, and TV noise from the other room. It turns your bedroom or home office into the quiet sanctuary you actually need to sleep or focus.

Tough Enough for Pets and Kids

Doorways see the most activity in any home. This piece is crafted for enduring resilience, gracefully handling daily traffic and the playful attention of pets.

The outer shell is crafted from a heavy-duty Oxford cloth, selected for its exceptional resilience. It's scratch-resistant, water-repellent, and machine washable for effortless maintenance. Designed to gracefully withstand the demands of an active household, this curtain maintains its premium quilted look through daily life. This is lasting beauty designed for living.

FAQ

Will this completely block out all noise?

Let's be honest—it's a heavy fabric curtain, not a soundproof booth. It won't silence a drum set, but it significantly muffles ambient noise like conversation, TV sounds, and traffic. It takes the 'sharpness' out of the noise so you can relax.

Is it machine washable?

For small spots, just wipe it with a damp cloth (the Oxford fabric is water-resistant). For a deep clean, you can machine wash it on a gentle cycle. Just make sure to remove any hooks first!

Does it work for keeping heat OUT in summer?

Absolutely. The insulation works both ways. Just like a thermos keeps coffee hot or water cold, this air barrier stops hot air from entering your cool AC-filled room. It's a year-round energy saver.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one door curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure door curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

Do you have decibel reduction data or an STC rating/certification?
  • For our sound-reducing curtains, noise reduction can reach up to about 15 dB under ideal conditions.
  • Real-world results vary based on installation (especially top/side gaps), room construction, and the noise frequency.
  • If you need any available test information for a specific style (e.g., Hussein 4 Layers) or want a room-specific setup recommendation, email support@thehues.com with your measurements and photos.

You can also learn how to maximize results here: Soundproof Curtain Guide.

Why is Rod Pocket/Back Tab recommended for noise cancelling?

Rod Pocket / Back Tab can create a tighter seal around the rod and reduce gaps, which helps improve blocking performance. See Soundproof Curtain Guide.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Yes, this curtain is 100% blackout. Thanks to its heavy-duty multi-layer construction (including a thick cotton insulation core), it completely blocks light from passing through the fabric.

For thermal insulation, it is effective. The thick internal insulation acts as a barrier against temperatures—keeping freezing cold out in winter and blistering heat out in summer—helping you save on energy bills year-round.

Will the door curtain seal the doorway to keep mosquitoes out?

The website does not guarantee a fully sealed, mosquito-proof doorway. If your goal is to minimize gaps, choose appropriate width/length and a closer-fitting header (such as rod pocket / back tab) and contact support@thehues.com with your doorway setup.
