Customer video review of Zoe 100% Blackout Linen Look Custom Curtain

The most beautiful well made curtains I’ve ever had. A stunning colour, the material is perfect and completes the finished look of our bedroom

Zoe 100% Blackout Linen Look Custom Curtain

I was looking for both style and true functionality, and these curtains delivered. The Angora linen-look fabric adds such an elegant, cozy texture, and they fit my large windows perfectly. They are indeed 100% blackout. I have to say, they complement my woven shades so beautifully—it's like they were made for each other. Highly recommend!

Zoe 100% Blackout Linen Look Custom Curtain

Obsessed with how these Zoe curtains transformed my living space. The fabric is heavy, high-quality, and has a beautiful texture that looks just like real linen. I was worried they might be too stiff because of the 100% blackout lining, but they drape so naturally and softly. They make the whole room feel so much more elevated. The custom ordering process was seamless—they fit my floor-to-ceiling windows exactly!

Zoe 100% Blackout Linen Look Custom Curtain

I used your guide on measuring my window, have inserted the hooks and I still have a large gap in my window that does not have coverage. I purchased blackout blinds but they can’t be blackout blinds when it’s not completely covering the window?? Any suggestions of how best to install the metal prongs-spacing them out more might give me more coverage? Any help please!

FAQ

Are these really 100% blackout or just room darkening?

Yes, they are truly 100% blackout. These are double-layer curtains featuring a specialized 100% blackout lining that blocks all external light—streetlights, headlights, and early morning sun included. If you hold them up to the sun, you won't see a glow.

Can I wash these in the machine?

You sure can. We know life happens. You can machine wash these on a gentle cycle. Just vacuum them lightly for dust or give them a steam refresh occasionally to keep them looking crisp. No expensive dry cleaning required.

Do they look like plastic on the back?

Nope! We hate that stiff, shower-curtain feel too. These are designed to have a soft, fluid drape with a linen-textured front that looks high-end and organic, not industrial.

Will these help with drafty windows?

Absolutely. The heavy, multi-layer fabric adds a thermal barrier to your window, helping to trap heat in during winter and block it out during summer. It's a simple way to make a room feel more comfortable.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.

My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.

Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

This Zoe 100% Blackout curtain can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on your curtain’s product page. Many curtain listings let you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
