Not at all! Since these are custom, we just need the height and width. For a full, luxurious look (like in the magazines), we recommend a width that is 1.5x to 2x your window rod. For length, measure from the top of the rod to the floor—add a couple of inches if you want that fancy 'puddled' look on the floor.

Are these difficult to keep clean?

Easier than you'd think. While they look fancy, you don't need to treat them like museum pieces. Regular dusting with a vacuum brush attachment does the trick for day-to-day maintenance. For a deep clean, professional dry cleaning keeps the velvet pile looking plush and new.
