Custom Made Linen Curtains, Tailored for a Perfect Fit

When standard 84-inch curtains fall just short of the floor, it can leave a room feeling incomplete. Our custom made linen curtains provide a perfect, floor-grazing length, creating a seamless and beautifully elevated look.

Each piece is made to order, cut to your exact width and length requirements. Whether you have soaring cathedral ceilings or extra-wide patio doors, you receive a tailored, floor-to-ceiling look that makes your space feel bigger, taller, and exceptionally luxurious. The result is a flawless, bespoke fit for your home.

Sophisticated Cassie Linen Blend custom curtains, floor-length, with refined pleats on a tall window for light filtering & privacy.

The Expensive Linen Look (Minus The Wrinkles)

Capture the soft, organic look of linen without the demanding upkeep. Our fabric combines authentic linen fibers with durable performance yarns to create a drape that is both beautiful and practical.

You still enjoy the breathable weave and characteristic texture of natural fiber, but the blended construction ensures the curtains resist wrinkles and hold their shape over time. Machine washable and effortlessly chic, it offers a sophisticated look that fits perfectly into real life.

Blackout Custom Curtains for Deep Sleep

Love the look of light linen but prefer a more serene start to your day? You don't have to choose. Customize your lining to match your lifestyle.

For living rooms, go unlined or use our privacy liner to let a soft glow filter through. For bedrooms and nurseries, you can achieve 100% blackout by adding our specialized 100% blackout lining during the customization process. It blocks all incoming light—from streetlamps and early sun to outside views—ensuring your rest and privacy are completely protected. You get the airy look on the front, with the quiet performance of total blackout on the back.

Textured black Cassie linen blend custom curtains block light from a window, highlighting their elegant folds for privacy & light control.

Why Pinch Pleat Linen Drapes Look So High-End

The secret to that "I hired a professional decorator" look isn't just the fabric—it's the header. While we offer casual grommets and rod pockets, our signature pinch pleat linen drapes are the real showstopper.

This style creates uniform, structured folds that stack neatly back when open and look crisp when closed. It adds instant architectural detail to your windows. Guests will ask where you got them, and you can confidently share they were custom-made just for your home.

FAQ

Can I really machine wash these?

Yes, but be gentle! Because of the premium linen blend, we recommend a gentle cycle with cold water or dry cleaning to keep them looking crisp. They're much more durable than 100% linen, but treating them with care ensures they last for years.

Do the blackout liners make the curtains look stiff?

Not at all. We use a high-quality soft blackout liner that moves with the fabric. To achieve a full 100% blackout effect, please ensure you select the 100% blackout liner option during the customization process. You get all the light-blocking benefits without that crunchy, stiff hotel-curtain feel. They drape beautifully.

Why buy custom instead of ready-made?

Two reasons: Fit and Fullness. Store-bought panels are usually too narrow (looking skimpy) or the wrong length (dragging or flooding). Custom means you get the lush, full look that actually fits your specific window architecture.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For most other curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can you make blackout/soundproof curtains with the same color on both sides?

Yes:

  • For the same fabric and color on both sides (except the header area), choose Same Fabric Liner.
  • For a close-matching polyester lining, choose Comparable Color Liner. An exact match across different fabrics may not always be possible—contact support to confirm before ordering.
Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

I can’t find the swatch option for a specific color/product—what should I do?

Please email support@thehues.com with the product link and color name, and we’ll help confirm the matching swatch (or the closest available option).

Can I buy fabric by the yard? What’s the price per yard?

The website does not provide a public fabric by the yard listing or price list. If you need fabric for a project, please email support@thehues.com with the fabric name, intended use, and quantity needed.

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on your curtain’s product page. Many curtain listings let you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
