The Refined Advantages of Our Linen Blend Curtains

We admire the organic beauty of pure flax, but not the high-maintenance care it often requires. Our unique blend captures that breathable, textured aesthetic and enhances it with the durability of premium synthetic fibers. The result is a fabric that drapes beautifully, resists wrinkling, and holds its elegant shape year after year.

That "Golden Hour" Glow or Total Darkness—Your Choice

The base fabric is designed to diffuse harsh sunlight into a soft, warm ambiance. However, for those seeking total light control, you can add a 100% blackout lining during the customization process to achieve full blackout performance. Without the lining, the subtle "glimmer" in the weave catches the natural light, adding a unique layer of luxurious depth and visual dimension.

Custom Fit Without the Designer Price Tag

The perfect curtain length is the essential finishing touch that elevates a room. Because standard sizes can be limiting, our made-to-measure approach ensures a flawless fit for your unique windows. Simply provide your exact dimensions. Whether you desire a precise kiss to the floor or a dramatic pooling effect, the final look is yours to define. The result is the custom, polished appearance of a professionally decorated space.

Machine Washable (Because Life Happens)

We believe caring for fine drapery should be simple. That’s why we designed ours for the realities of a living home, not just for show. A perfect choice for households with children or pets, they offer resilience without sacrificing refinement. Where other delicate fabrics may require specialized care, these are crafted to be machine washable on a gentle cycle. They resist pilling and shrinking, ensuring they remain beautiful over time and freeing you from the need for frequent dry cleaning.

WRITE YOUR FEELING

FAQ

Are these see-through or do they provide privacy, and can they be blackout?

These curtains provide excellent privacy while filtering light for an airy feel. If you require total darkness, you can select the 100% blackout liner option during the customization process to achieve a full blackout effect.

Can I really machine wash these?

Yes! That's the beauty of the linen blend. Just use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. No shrinking, no fraying—just clean curtains. Much easier than 100% linen.

Is the 'glimmer' shiny or glittery?

Not at all. Think of it more like a natural sheen or luster, similar to silk or high-end polished linen. It adds texture and dimension rather than sparkle. It looks sophisticated, not cheap.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

I have an existing track—what header style should I choose?

If you’re using a track, choose a header that works with gliders/hooks (e.g., Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, Inverted Box Pleat, or Pleat Hook).

Please review the Header Style Guide and confirm supported options under Compatible Header Types on Heavy Duty Metal Custom Curtain Track.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Is it 100% blackout? How effective is the thermal insulation?

Full blackout depends on the product and the lining you choose:

  • 100% Blackout products can achieve full blackout when installed properly with minimal gaps.
  • For most other curtains (excluding sheer/light-filtering styles), selecting a 100% Blackout Liner can dramatically increase light blocking.
  • Thermal insulation also depends on fabric thickness and lining—thermal/blackout fabrics or added liners typically provide better insulation.
Are your curtains flame retardant? Do they meet any standards?

Some products are available in flame-retardant fabric (e.g., the Frisian collection).

If you need documentation/standards for a project, email support@thehues.com with the product link and your requirements before ordering.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Will swatch fees/shipping be credited or refunded with a full order?

Whether swatch shipping/fees can be credited toward a full order may vary by promotion.

Please email support@thehues.com to confirm the current rule before placing your full order.

I can’t find the swatch option for a specific color/product—what should I do?

Please email support@thehues.com with the product link and color name, and we’ll help confirm the matching swatch (or the closest available option).

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on your curtain’s product page. This curtain listing lets you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
