Are these actually soundproof?

While no curtain is 100% soundproof, our 4-layer construction is engineered for maximum noise reduction. Between the face fabric and the liner, we've added a layer of sound-absorbing sponge felt and a layer of melt-blown fabric (the same material used in high-grade masks) for air purification. This combination significantly muffles street noise and echoes, creating a much quieter environment.

Do I need a heavy-duty rod for these?

Great question. Because of the premium 4-layer quality, a single panel can weigh up to 9 lbs depending on the size. We definitely recommend using a sturdy, high-quality curtain rod securely mounted to studs to handle the weight without bowing.

How do I measure for a custom fit?

It's easier than you think. See our full Measurement Guide here. For width, aim for 1.5x to 2x your window width if you want that rich, full look when they're closed. For length, measure from where you want the rod to sit down to the floor. If you want a puddle look, add a couple of inches. We customize to your exact specs!

Are they machine washable?

Yes, these are safe to wash! However, you must detach the felt liner before machine washing. Use a delicate cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. For larger custom panels, professional cleaning is also an option to maintain the pleats and fabric texture.

Is the back side black or white?

The back features a neutral lining that meets most HOA requirements.
