Sheer Linen Drapes That Transform Bright Light Into a Soft Glow

For the bright afternoon glare on your screen or the direct sun of early morning, the Sunveil collection offers a refined approach. Rather than blocking light entirely, these drapes gently filter it, transforming it into a soft, warm glow.

This fabric bathes your room in the most flattering light. It diffuses sunlight beautifully, creating a space that feels at once airy, luxurious, and serene. It’s the secret to achieving that coveted "golden hour" glow, all day long.

Stop Choosing Between Privacy and Natural Light

The challenge with sheer curtains is balancing beautiful, soft light with daytime privacy. Our solution is a specific density weave that allows sunlight to stream in while acting as a one-way mirror, ensuring your home remains a private sanctuary.

You can see out perfectly—watching the kids play or checking for the delivery truck—but outsiders just see a beautiful fabric texture. It’s an elegant solution for city living or ground-floor apartments, allowing you to welcome natural light while preserving your privacy.

The Designer Look, Refined

We appreciate the organic charm of pure linen, though the upkeep can be demanding. Our premium blend offers a smarter, more polished alternative. You still enjoy that gorgeous organic 'slub' texture—those subtle natural variations that signify true quality—but in a fabric that hangs beautifully smooth.

Designers love this blend because it captures the high-end aesthetic of flax while holding its shape far better than pure linen. It creates a window treatment that looks curated and relaxed, never messy. Plus, it is machine washable, making effortless style a reality for your home.

Custom Fit Without the Custom Price Tag

The right curtain length can transform a room, creating a seamless and elegant line from ceiling to floor. Because standard sizes often fall just short, we craft ours to your precise measurements for a truly custom finish.

From expansive floor-to-ceiling windows to uniquely shaped nooks, enjoy a tailored fit that kisses the floor perfectly. Choose from professional header styles like Pinch Pleats or Ring Clips to match your hardware, achieving the look of a custom-designed space with just a few clicks.

FAQ

Are these 100% pure linen?

Here is the honest truth: 100% pure linen wrinkles if you look at it wrong. We use a premium linen blend that captures that gorgeous, organic 'slub' texture you want, but with better durability and drape. It hangs straighter, resists deep creases, and looks polished right out of the package. You get the high-end aesthetic without the high-maintenance headache.

Will my neighbors be able to see in?

This is the magic of these curtains. During the day, they provide excellent privacy—you can see the outside world, but people outside can't see you. It eliminates the 'fishbowl' effect while still letting sunlight pour in. Just keep in mind that like all sheer fabrics, if you have the lights on inside at night, you might want a secondary layer for total privacy.

Can I wash these in a machine?

Yes! These curtains are designed for modern convenience and are safe to machine wash. Simply use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. To keep them looking their best, we recommend air drying or hanging them back up while slightly damp. The premium blend is durable enough to handle regular washing while maintaining its beautiful texture and drape without the need for professional dry cleaning.

Will these help with the temperature in my room?

They diffuse that harsh, direct sunlight that heats up your room in the afternoon (saving your AC bill), but the weave is breathable enough to let fresh air circulate if you have the windows open.

Is the price for one panel or a pair (two panels)?

The price shown is for one curtain panel. For a typical window with a balanced look, you may want to order two panels (quantity 2).

When entering Panel Width, should I input total coverage width or one panel width?

On the product page, the Panel Width you select/enter is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Use the Size Guide on the product page to calculate step-by-step.
  • If you’d like help, email support@thehues.com with your product link and measurements.
My rod/window width is X—how many panels do I need and what width should each panel be?

The Panel Width/Length you enter on the product page is the finished size per panel.

  • Per-panel width = (rod width × fullness) ÷ number of panels
  • Example: 100" rod width × 1.5 fullness ÷ 2 panels = 75" per panel.
  • Click the Size Guide on the product page for a step-by-step calculator, or contact support for help.
Curtains need fullness—how much extra width should I add?

Different Header Styles correspond to different recommended fullness ratios.

  • Select your header first to see the recommended fullness in the Size Guide/selection area.
  • Our system will use this to calculate or suggest the best size for you.
  • Or, feel free to consult customer service for help.
Should I add extra length for puddling? What if I don’t have room for it?

Yes. You can choose Hover (about 1" above the floor for a clean look) or Puddle (about 3" onto the floor for a more dramatic look). In the product Size Guide, select the finish you want and it will automatically adjust from your floor measurement.

My required width/length isn’t listed (extra wide/long). Can you customize?

Yes. Most made-to-measure curtain listings support per-panel width/length starting at 20" and going up to 200". If you can’t select your size, email support@thehues.com and we’ll help you plan the right split/join solution.

What is a Header Style, and which one should I choose?

A header style is the top construction of the curtain—how it’s made and how it attaches to your rod or track.

  • Rod vs. track: match the header to your hardware.
  • Look: flat vs. pleated vs. wave, etc.
  • Use: frequent opening/closing often benefits from smoother track-friendly headers.

If you’re unsure, start with the Header Style Guide and match it to your setup.

Do the curtains include S hooks/pinch pleat hooks, or do I need to purchase them separately?

It depends on the header you choose:

  • Grommet / Back Tab / Rod Pocket: no hooks needed—slides directly onto a rod.
  • Pleated / Pleat Hook styles: we include the appropriate hooks based on your selection.
  • Roman Rings / Clip Rings: rings/clips are typically purchased separately to match your rod diameter.

To confirm hardware for a specific SKU, email support@thehues.com with the product link or your order number.

Will my rod diameter fit your grommets/loops?

Rod Pocket works best with rods ≤ 1.25" diameter. For Grommet, the internal diameter is about 1.56" and it pairs best with a 1.5" rod. Always confirm against the header option you select.

Can you make pinch pleats (e.g., double/triple pleats)?

Yes. The guides list multiple pleated options such as Double/Triple French Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, Goblet, and Inverted Box Pleat. Availability depends on the header styles offered on your product page. See Measurement Guide and Header Styles.

Can I order swatches? How do I order them?

Yes. Order directly from Curtain Swatches: select your fabrics/colors and add them to cart.

Limits and shipping/fees follow the latest information shown on the swatch page.

Are tiebacks included or sold separately?

It varies by product—please follow the options shown on your curtain’s product page. Many curtain listings let you select tiebacks (for example Free Tiebacks / Matching Tiebacks), which will show in your order/price. If you want tiebacks separately, you can purchase them from Accessories.
