But, if course, if you’re looking to cleaning mold off fabric blinds then this could be a tad more difficult depending on the type of curtain and the material itself. How To Clean Mold Off Blinds?

When it comes to blinds, it can indeed be more difficult to handle. So, how to clean mold off blinds? How to get mould off fabric blinds especially? Well, it’s thankfully not difficult to clean mold off blinds. So, there’s no worries when you’re focused to remove mold from the blind. Here are some helpful steps for cleaning off that pesky mold!

Step 1: Use A Hard Bristle Brush

When you’re cleaning your blinds, you’ll first want to take this outside and do it there. This will help prevent the spores from spreading inside your home. Also, you’re going to want to use a hard bristle brush, these are super helpful for getting deep into the fabric to remove mold.

Step 2: Apply Stain Remover

You’ll want to use one part bleach and four parts waters. Just spray this from a distance on your curtains. Using bleach directly on your blinds can potentially cause them to stain white but this could potentially destroy the fabric too.

Step 3: Machine Wash The Curtains

So, depending on the type of fabric you have for your curtains, you just may be able to wash them. You’ll need to have your curtains on a very low temperature, honestly, as low as it can go. Plus don’t forget to use a detergent that’s powerful. Your aim is to completely destroy the spores.

It’s super helpful to open up your doors and windows from time to time to help out with ventilation. Even in the winter time, having at least 1 hour of ventilation in your home can be very helpful.

Temperature

Cold temperatures usually leave room for mold, but overly humid spaces can have the same affect. When it comes to windows, event the curtains, they take in most of the heat from the sun and most of the cold from the winter chill. So, why not look into double glaze windows? These help regulate the temperature in your home. But there are others ways to regulate the temperature such as adding more insulation into your home such as in your floors, walls, and your ceiling. Window covers such as non-fabric blinds could also be a nice way to prevent mold on your curtains.

Moisture can get in through multiple ways, this can include cold temperatures, raining outside, leaks, fading insulation, and so much more.
