TheHues × TheNottingHome Designer Curtain Collection
In this article 6 sections
This collaboration brings together TheHues’ custom window-treatment experience and Allie’s instinct for rooms that feel layered, welcoming, and genuinely lived in. Rather than treating curtains as a final decorative detail, the collection begins with the way fabric changes light, scale, and atmosphere throughout a room.
The result is a designer-led custom curtain collection for people who want more choice than standard retail sizes can offer, but still want the finished space to feel relaxed and personal. Each design is intended to work with the character already present in a home, from vintage furniture and collected objects to clean-lined modern pieces.
Meet Allie, the Creative Force Behind TheNottingHome
Allie built TheNottingHome around a simple belief: a house becomes a home through the choices that reflect the people living there. Her approach favors character over perfection and long-term comfort over fast-moving trends.
Allie’s interiors balance visual refinement with the realities of everyday family life.
That point of view took shape while she renovated her own farmhouse. The project required her to balance an elevated visual direction with the practical needs of a busy household. It also deepened her understanding of how textiles can soften architecture, frame a view, and make a room feel complete without overwhelming it.
For this partnership, Allie brings an editor’s eye to color, pattern, and proportion. TheHues translates that direction into custom window treatments designed around individual spaces rather than one-size-fits-all dimensions.
The Design Idea: Define the Room, Not Just the Window
Window treatments influence more than privacy. They affect how daylight enters a room, how tall a ceiling appears, and how color moves across surrounding surfaces. That is why the collection is designed as part of the room’s larger story, not as an isolated product decision.
The collaboration focuses on three principles:
- Texture that changes with the light. Organic-looking weaves and layered patterns create visual depth from morning through evening.
- Color that is expressive but easy to live with. Soft neutrals and grounded greens add personality without dictating the rest of the room.
- Custom proportions that feel intentional. Made-to-measure sizing helps the treatment relate naturally to the window, wall, and ceiling height.

Fabric Direction and Color Palette
The collection draws from a calm, nature-led palette. Light beige creates a warm neutral foundation, while moss green and forest green bring depth and a stronger connection to the outdoors. Understated motifs make the designs easier to layer with both old and new furnishings.

|---|---|---|
| Light beige | Living rooms, bedrooms, layered neutral interiors | A soft, warm base that keeps the space light and adaptable |
| Moss green | Dining rooms, reading corners, organic-modern spaces | An earthy, grounded note with quiet character |
| Forest green | Bedrooms, studies, statement windows | A richer, cocooning effect with greater visual depth |
Who Is This Custom Curtain Collection For?
The collection is designed for homeowners and interior-design clients who want their window treatments to feel considered, but not overly formal. It is especially relevant if you are:
- Furnishing an organic-modern, rustic-elegant, transitional, or collected interior.
- Looking for custom curtains that work with unusual window dimensions or specific room proportions.
- Choosing between a subtle neutral and a nature-inspired color with more presence.
- Trying to connect vintage pieces, modern furniture, and personal objects through one cohesive textile layer.
- Investing in a room you want to enjoy for years rather than following a short-lived trend.
Patterned floor-length curtains add structure and warmth to a calm bedroom.
How to Bring the Collection Home
The custom collection is now available through TheHues' website. Every style is made to order, giving you complete freedom to tailor the fabric, color, and drop to your exact room measurements.
To get the most out of your custom design, start by taking accurate measurements of your window area and considering how the room naturally functions. Note the amount of daylight the space receives and decide whether you want your curtains to quietly blend into the background or act as a grounding focal point. Keeping these details in mind will help you seamlessly select the right color, texture, and proportion for your home.
Thoughtful window treatments help connect natural light, furnishings, and architecture.
